What is RSS:
RSS (Real Simple Syndication) is an XML-based format for sharing and distributing Web content, such as news headlines. Using an RSS reader, you can view data feeds from various news sources, such as navcomtech.com, including headlines, summaries, and links to full stories.
With an RSS reader, the news comes to you rather than you needing to come to the NavCom Web site.
RSS (Real Simple Syndication) Service is a means by which NavComtech.com offers feeds of press releases and speeches ("RSS Content") to visitors to navcomtech.com (the "NavCom Site") who use RSS aggregators. These Terms govern the use of the RSS Service. The use of the RSS Service also is subject to the terms and conditions of the NavCom Web Site Legal Notice, which governs the use of NavCom websites, information services and content.
Use of RSS Feeds:
RSS is a free service offered by NavCom for non-commercial use. Any other uses, including, without limitation, incorporation of advertising associated with or targeted towards the RSS Content are strictly prohibited. You must use the RSS feeds as provided by NavCom, and you may not edit or modify the text, content or links supplied by NavCom.
Link to Content Pages:
The RSS Service may be used only with those platforms from which a functional link is made available to be accessed, and takes the viewer directly to the display of the full article on the NavCom Site. You may not display the RSS Content in a manner that does not permit successful linking to, redirection to or delivery of the applicable NavCom Site web page. You may not insert any intermediate page, splash page or other content between the RSS Link and the applicable NavCom Site web page.
NavCom retains all ownership and other rights in the RSS Content, and any and all NavCom logos and trademarks in connection with the RSS Service. You must provide attribution to the appropriate NavCom website in connection with your use of the RSS feeds. If you provide this attribution using a graphic, you must use the appropriate NavCom website's logo that we have incorporated into the RSS feed.
Right to Discontinue Feeds:
NavCom reserves the right to discontinue providing any or all of the RSS feeds at any time and to require you to cease displaying, distributing, or otherwise using any or all of the RSS feeds for any reason including, without limitation, your violation of any provision of these Terms. NavCom assumes no liability for any of your activities in connection with the RSS feeds or for your use of the RSS feeds in connection with your website.
These Terms represent the complete agreement concerning the use of this RSS Service between the parties and supersedes all prior agreements and representations between them. If any provision of these Terms is held to be unenforceable for any reason, such provision shall be reformed only to the extent necessary to make it enforceable. These Terms shall be governed by and construed under the internal laws and jurisdiction of the State of Illinois. Any action to enforce these Terms shall be brought in the federal or state courts located in Moline, Illinois. You may not assign these Terms without NavCom prior written consent; any assignment by you without such consent shall be null and void.
Each party shall be responsible for compliance with all applicable laws, rules and regulations, if any, related to the performance of its obligations under these Terms. Neither party will be liable for any failure to perform any obligation hereunder, or from any delay in the performance thereof, due to causes beyond its control, including industrial disputes of whatever nature, acts of God, public enemy, acts of government, failure of telecommunications, fire or other casualty. NavCom is not responsible for any costs or liability associated with making a connection (by any means) to the Internet, the RSS Service or other online service, or network.
You certify you are legally permitted to use the RSS Services and access the RSS Content, and if you are an individual, you are over 18 years of age. You take full responsibility for the selection and use of the RSS Services and access of the RSS Content. These Terms are void where prohibited by law, and the right to access the RSS Content is revoked in such jurisdictions.
