Product Benefits
- Dedicated private network:
The Safari Network™ creates a dedicated, private cellular communication network for both fixed and mobile assets within a localized area with no monthly or annual fees. The simultaneous support of multiple communication services lets users customize the network according to business needs and growth.
- Data rates up to 512Kbps:
Data rates are selectable at 96Kb, 240Kb, and 512Kb, and three independent COM ports provide for synchronous/asynchronous serial communications as well as an Ethernet connection.
- Multiple user interfaces:
The network concurrently allows for broadcast, point-to-point, multipoint-to-multipoint, wireless LAN, circuit, and packet-switched communication.
- Automatic status reporting:
Reception of real-time data from remote devices and automatic status reporting allow for better management of personnel and assets.
- Seamless roaming:
Continuous networking functionality allows seamless roaming within cells on the network with no loss of connectivity. The system provides high data transmission rates in support of simultaneous communication services such as wireless data transmission, Internet, video streaming, and Ethernet LAN.
- Expandable 15-mile range:
The Safari Network™ is based on a cellular architecture, with each cell covering an area with a radius of greater than 15 miles line-of-sight, using omni-directional antennas. Additional cells are easily added to extend the coverage area or to overcome line-of-sight blockage with no affect on the overall network throughput.
- Ready for the tough jobs:
The SR-7120 radio model comes with all necessary cabling, along with a compact port expander with industry-standard connectors to easily interface with existing office equipment and cabling devices. It’s also packaged for various mounting configurations. The system is watertight and ruggedized to withstand environmental hazards such as dust, moisture, severe vibration, and temperature extremes.
- Productivity and efficiency:
Work-site efficiency improves significantly with the multi-tasking capabilities that come with connectivity while in the field, the ability to analyze vehicle health to predict and prevent vehicle failure, and remotely monitoring field productivity within a secure, private wireless LAN.
- Flexibility:
The SR-7120 can be ordered with an optional integrated GPS. Users may select a number of GPS receivers ranging from low-cost, single-frequency receivers to NavCom's high-accuracy, dual-frequency receiver. This integration with GPS is an ideal, cost-effective solution in applications such as autonomous vehicle control using RTK and fleet management requiring both position data and wireless communications.
